Ocean School

Ocean School is a free, bilingual environmental and ocean education platform for Grades 5–12, created by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and the Ocean Frontier Institute (OFI) at Dalhousie University. Its overarching goal is to help build a generation of ocean-literate citizens by strengthening understanding of how people affect the ocean and how the ocean affects people.

Ocean School offers cross-curricular teaching resources spanning science, social studies, language arts, and more, using immersive multimedia and classroom-ready activities. Resources include linear and 360° videos, interactive media, VR/AR experiences, and hands-on projects designed for both classroom and at-home learning.
