Kelp Forest Alliance: Data & Community Platform

The Kelp Forest Alliance Data and Community Platform is a home for anyone interested in kelp forests, allowing them to connect with each other, create working groups, and upload the results of their restoration projects. The platform provides a place for people and organizations working with kelp forests to come together to share information, forge new collaborations, and increase the pace and scale of kelp restoration worldwide. Its core feature is a global restoration project database holding records from 1957 to present, where members can contribute data on their own projects (including restoration objectives, site selection rationale, causes of decline, species, methods, costs, lessons learned, and outcomes) and access the full database to learn from projects around the world. The platform also hosts individual and organizational member profiles, enabling practitioners to find and connect with peers working on similar challenges or in similar regions.
