Measuring Carbon in Non-peat Soils: Guide

In this guide and its corresponding video, WWF-Canada demonstrates how to take soil samples in the field for non-peat soils, and describes the subsequent laboratory analyses required to obtain carbon values. The information covers site selection and equipment, site preparation, collecting soil cores and pits, as well as lab processing and analysis. There is also information related to scaling from in-field measurement to carbon stock assessments. The guide is part of WWF-Canada’s Carbon Measurement Learning Library.
